For those who start from zero. Duration 5 hours (2 of theory and 3 of practice).
The basic course for beginners is structured on 5 hours. Two hours will be of theory and 3 hours of practice.
The first hour (typically takes place in the late morning) will be used to explain the fundamental theory behind kiting and the safety procedures to be implemented during lessons and in general during kitesurfing.
Since the purpose of the course is to make you autonomous, you will start by explaining how to arm equipment, wind basics, obstacles, safety procedures and nomenclature.
Then in the early afternoon (as soon as the wind is sufficient) we will move on to the first practical hour of the course which consists in piloting the kite; This can take place on land, by boat in the middle of the lake or in the water together with an instructor.
This is the most important time because it is essential to get used to controlling the kite correctly. The next hour is to start controlling the kite yourself in the water (body drag).
In practice, you get dragged by the kite into the water by performing a whole series of exercises to refine the control techniques acquired in the previous hour. The fourth hour is theoretical and involves teaching gaits, priorities and self-rescue procedures.
